VSHS band Winter Pops Concert set for Monday, Nov. 29

     The Vinton-Shellsburg High School Band Department's Winter Band Pops Concert will be held at 7 P.M. on Monday, November 29 in the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium.      The concert will celebrate the success of the 2010 Marching Band season with an encore performance of music from the musical, "Titanic".

Vinton Christmas & Veteran's activities begin tonight

Vinton is the place to be tonight as a variety of holiday events and events to honor veterans are on the calender.  LIONS CHILI SUPPER : It begins at 4:30 tonight with the Vinton Lions Club Chili Supper. The event continues through 7:30 p.m. at the Vinton Fire Station. A free-will offering will be accepted at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, which pays to send WWII veterans to Washington, D.
