VSHS band Winter Pops Concert set for Monday, Nov. 29
The Vinton-Shellsburg High School Band Department's Winter Band Pops Concert will be held at 7 P.M. on Monday, November 29 in the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium.
The concert will celebrate the success of the 2010 Marching Band season with an encore performance of music from the musical, "Titanic".

Old Creamery Theatre to perform at Dinner Theatre in Vinton this weekend

Vinton Christmas & Veteran's activities begin tonight
Vinton is the place to be tonight as a variety of holiday events and events to honor veterans are on the calender.
LIONS CHILI SUPPER : It begins at 4:30 tonight with the Vinton Lions Club Chili Supper. The event continues through 7:30 p.m. at the Vinton Fire Station.
A free-will offering will be accepted at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, which pays to send WWII veterans to Washington, D.

Sunday November 21st, join North Benton Ambulance Service from 7am until 12 Noon at theV/S High School for a FREE Pancake Breakfast!
A free will donation will be taken at the breakfast to help cover the cost for a new, much needed LUCAS CPR device.

The Tour deLights 5K run will be held on December 12th this year. The race will start at 5 p.m. with registration at 4 p.m.

Risk and Margin Management workshops for cattle feeders scheduled in December
A series of risk and margin management workshop will be held for cattle feeders from Dec. 9-17 across northern Iowa. All workshops will be from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Land O Lakes Purina Feeds dealers are helping sponsoring the workshop in cooperation with the Iowa Beef Center and Iowa State University Extension.
